Summer is made for playing outside. Bikes, rollerblades, skateboards--you name it, it is time to ride! I remember getting my first my first scooter many, many years ago (we won't admit how many) but, seriously, my little scooter had nothing on the cool technology kids are whizzing around on today.
Introducing...
The Mini Micro Kick Scooter
The Pros: Mini Micro Kick Scooters have been on the market for several years, but in the past few months they have BLOWN UP. Why? Well first, they look like the iPhone of the scooter world. Sleek, sporty, and in a range of cool summer colors, they're pretty hard to pass up.
Second, they have looks and technology. With two wheels in the front, children ages 3 and up learn to lean into the turns, using their body weight to move left and right. Not only does this give the scooter great stability for early riders, it also helps them learn sports skills for later. Now your little scooter monster flying down the block while prepping for fall basketball and winter snowboarding at the same time. Pretty neat!
The Cons: First, the biggest negative of the Mini Micro is the weight limit--44 lbs-- which means that the age limit usually tops out at about age 5. Luckily, Mini Kick has an app for that! Check out the Maxi Kick Scooter, for ages 5-12. The Maxi Kick sports a sturdier design, an adjustable handle, and a weight limit of 132lbs. The scooter still features the three-wheel design and is great for the school-aged child.
Second, the Mini Micro is not your budget Big Wheel. The Mini Micro style is $79.99 and the Maxi $129.99, but you can't beat this brand for quality. We think these scooters are a great investment.
Feeling blue because you want to ride a scooter too? Well guess what, you can! Check out the Micro Two Wheel with a sleek design and oversized wheels for family scooter day (or scooter to work day). Plus, since the colors come in Black and White, you can pick one to match your MacBook and be the ultimate cool parent on the block!
Tom's Toys carries all three styles of Mini Kick Scooters in a variety of colors! Stop by your nearest location today for a test ride.
